Iyad bin Himar reported,

The Prophet ﷺ gave a sermon one day in which he said, "My Lord has commanded me to teach you what you do not know from what He has taught me on this day of mine.Every wealth I have bestowed upon My servants is lawful. I created all My servants inclined to true faith, but the devils came to them and led them astray from their religion, forbidding them what I had made lawful for them and commanding them to associate with Me that for which I had sent down no authority.Then Allah looked upon the people of the earth and despised them, both the non-Arabs and the Arabs among them, except for some remnants from the People of the Book. And He said, 'I have sent you only to test you and to test others through you, and I have revealed to you a Book which water cannot wash away, which you will recite whether asleep or awake.'Then Allah commanded me to burn Quraysh, but I said, 'My Lord, then they would crush my head and leave it like a piece of bread.'He said, 'Drive them out as they drove you out. Fight them and We will help you fight. Spend on them and We will spend on you. Send forth an army and We will send five like it. Fight against those who disobey you with those who obey you.'The people of Paradise are three: a just and charitable ruler whom Allah has guided to do good, a merciful and tender-hearted man toward every relative and every Muslim, and a poor man who is chaste and gives in charity.The people of the Fire are five: the weak who have no power of restraint, those among you who are mere followers seeking neither family nor wealth, the treacherous man from whom no covetous desire is hidden, however small, but he betrays it, the man who does not pass a morning or evening without trying to deceive you regarding your family and wealth," and he mentioned stinginess and lying, "and the foul-mouthed, ill-tempered scoundrel."

عن عياض بن حمار

أن النبي ﷺ خطب ذات يوم فقال في خطبته إن ربي عز وجل أمرني أن أعلمكم ما جهلتم مما علمني في يومي هذا كل مال نحلته عبادي حلال وإني خلقت عبادي حنفاء كلهم وإنهم أتتهم الشياطين فأضلتهم عن دينهم وحرمت عليهم ما أحللت لهم وأمرتهم أن يشركوا بي ما لم أنزل به سلطانا ثم إن الله عز وجل نظر إلى أهل الأرض فمقتهم عجميهم وعربيهم إلا بقايا من أهل الكتاب وقال إنما بعثتك لأبتليك وأبتلي بك وأنزلت عليك كتابا لا يغسله الماء تقرؤه نائما ويقظانا ثم إن الله عز وجل أمرني أن أحرق قريشا فقلت يا رب إذن يثلغوا رأسي فيدعوه خبزة فقال استخرجهم كما استخرجوك فاغزهم نغزك وأنفق عليهم فسننفق عليك وابعث جندا نبعث خمسة مثله وقاتل بمن أطاعك من عصاك وأهل الجنة ثلاثة ذو سلطان مقسط متصدق موفق ورجل رحيم رقيق القلب لكل ذي قربى ومسلم ورجل فقير عفيف متصدق وأهل النار خمسة الضعيف الذي لا زبر له الذين هم فيكم تبعا أو تبعاء شك يحيى لا يبتغون أهلا ولا مالا والخائن الذي لا يخفى عليه طمع وإن دق إلا خانه ورجل لا يصبح ولا يمسي إلا وهو يخادعك عن أهلك ومالك وذكر البخل والكذب والشنظير الفاحش
