I saw Ibn Abu Rafi wearing his ring on his right hand, so I asked him about it. He mentioned that he had seen Abdullah bin Jafar wearing his ring on his right hand, and Abdullah bin Jafar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wear his ring on his right hand."

رأيت ابن أبي رافع يتختم في يمينه فسألته عن ذلك فذكر أنه رأى عبد الله بن جعفر يتختم في يمينه وقال عبد الله بن جعفر كان رسول الله ﷺ يتختم في يمينه
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Abu Rafi is Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Rafi, and it is also said, ibn so-and-so bin Abu Rafi, meaning that he is attributed to his grandfather, and he is salih al-hadith, as Ibn Main said. Tirmidhi related the hadith, 3:52, and said, He (meaning Bukhari) said, This is the most sahih thing related from the Prophet ﷺ on this subject. Nasai and Ibn Majah also related it, as mentioned in Dhakhair al-Mawarith, 2630.
