A group of people came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He accepted the pledge of allegiance from nine of them but withheld it from one.They said, "Messenger of Allah, you have taken the pledge from nine but left this one."He replied, "He is wearing an amulet."The man put his hand in and tore it off, and the Prophet then accepted his pledge, saying, "Whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk."

أن رسول الله ﷺ أقبل إليه رهط فبايع تسعة وأمسك عن واحد فقالوا يا رسول الله بايعت تسعة وتركت هذا قال إن عليه تميمة فأدخل يده فقطعها فبايعه وقال من علق تميمة فقد أشرك
Its isnad is sahih. Yazid bin Abu Mansur was one of the trustworthy Successors, and likewise Dukhayn bin Amir Hajri. Haythami also graded it sahih in 5/103. See also what preceded with the same meaning in 17335.
