The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The day of Arafah, the day of sacrifice, and the days of Tashriq are our festival, the people of Islam, and they are days of eating and drinking."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا موسى بن علي عن أبيه قال سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ يوم عرفة ويوم النحر وأيام التشريق عيدنا أهل الإسلام وهن أيام أكل وشرب
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it, 2/320, no. 2419, in the chapter on fasting, fasting on the days of Tashriq. Tirmidhi narrated it, 3/134, no. 773, and said, hasan sahih. Ibn Hibban narrated it, no. 958 in Al-Mawarid. Hakim graded it sahih, 1/434, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
