The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who recites the Quran aloud is like the one who gives charity openly, and the one who recites the Quran quietly is like the one who gives charity in secret."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, Hammad bin Khalid had a strong memory. He used to narrate to us from memory. Yahya bin Main and I both wrote down hadith from him.

قال رسول الله ﷺ الجاهر بالقرآن كالجاهر بالصدقة والمسر بالقرآن كالمسر بالصدقة قال أبو عبد الرحمن كان حماد بن خالد حافظا وكان يحدثنا وكان يحفظ كتبت عنه أنا ويحيى بن معين
