I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Every deceased person has their deeds sealed upon their death, except for the one stationed at the frontier in the cause of Allah, for the reward of his deeds continues to flow for him until the Day of Resurrection."Qutayba narrated to us, adding in his version, "And he is protected from the trial of the grave."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا مشرح قال سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول كل ميت يختم على عمله إلا المرابط في سبيل الله فإنه يجرى له أجر عمله حتى يبعث حدثنا قتيبة قال فيه ويؤمن من فتان القبر
