The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him a flock of sheep, which he distributed among his companions as sacrificial animals. A young goat was left over, so he mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, "Sacrifice it yourself."
حدثنا حجاج حدثنا ليث بن سعد حدثني يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن أبي الخير
أن رسول الله ﷺ أعطاه غنما فقسمها على أصحابه ضحايا فبقي عتود منها فذكره لرسول الله ﷺ فقال ضح به
