Rabia bin Shayban reported,
I asked Husayn bin Ali 
, "What do you remember of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He replied, "I climbed up with him to the room where the charity was kept, and I took a date and put it in my mouth, chewing it. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Throw it out, for charity is not lawful for us.'"

عن ربيعة بن شيبان قال
قلت للحسين بن علي رضي الله عنه ما تعقل عن رسول الله ﷺ قال صعدت معه غرفة الصدقة فأخذت تمرة فلكتها في في فقال النبي ﷺ ألقها فإنها لا تحل لنا الصدقة
Its isnad is sahih, and it is the same hadith as 1724 in meaning, but there Muhammad bin Bakr narrated it from Thabit bin Umara and attributed it to the hadith of Hasan, while here Waki narrated it from Thabit and attributed it to the hadith of Husayn. It appears the mistake came from Thabit, who forgot and mentioned Husayn instead of Hasan, for this hadith is a fragment of the hadith about qunut and other matters, which has already occurred repeatedly as the hadith of Hasan, in 1718, 1721, 1723, 1725, and 1727. What supports its being the hadith of Hasan is what Ahmad and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) narrated from Abu Hurairah, who said, "Hasan bin Ali took a date from the dates of charity," and so on. See Nayl Awtar 4:240. It will also come at 1735 that some narrators erred likewise in attributing the hadith of qunut to the Musnad of Husayn.
