The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the leasing of farmland. I asked, "Even for gold and silver?" He replied, "No. He only forbade it for a share of what the land produces. As for gold and silver, there is no harm in that."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن مالك بن أنس قال حدثني ربيعة عن حنظلة بن قيس
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن كراء المزارع قال قلت بالذهب والفضة قال لا إنما نهى عنه ببعض ما يخرج منها فأما بالذهب والفضة فلا بأس به
