We were with Hasan bin Ali when he was asked, "What do you remember from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"He said, "I was walking with him when he passed by a heap of dates from the charity. I took a date and put it in my mouth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ put his finger into my mouth and pulled it out along with my saliva."Some of the people said, "What harm would it have done you to leave it?"He replied, "We, the family of Muhammad, are not permitted to consume charity."He also said, "I learned from him the five prayers."

Its isnad is sahih. Ala bin Salih Taymi Kufi is trustworthy, Ibn Main and Abu Dawud both confirmed his trustworthiness, and the hadith carries the same meaning as the one before it. It is found in Majma al-Zawaid 3:90, where it is stated, Ahmad, Abu Yaala, and Tabarani in al-Kabir narrated it, and the men of Ahmad's chain are trustworthy. The word "jareen," with a fatha on the jim, refers to the place where dates are dried, serving the same function for dates as the threshing floor does for wheat.
