I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cutting a piece from the shoulder of a sheep when he was called to prayer. He put down the knife and prayed without performing ablution.
حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن صالح قال ابن شهاب حدثني
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يحتز من كتف شاة فدعي إلى الصلاة فطرح السكين ولم يتوضأ
Its isnad is sahih. It has already appeared at 3452, and it is in the Sahihayn. Bukhari has it in the chapter on one who does not perform wudu after eating sheep meat, and Muslim has it in the chapter urging the abrogation of wudu after eating food touched by fire.
