Miqdam bin Maadi reported,
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid striking animals on the cheeks. He said, "Allah 
has provided you with sticks and whips."

Its chain of transmission is daif, Artaah did not name the narrator, and Haythami likewise declared it daif in 8/106.
