Saad reported,

He used to serve the Prophet ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ was pleased with his service. So he said, "Abu Bakr, free Saad."Abu Bakr replied, "Messenger of Allah, we have no servant other than him."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Free Saad. Some men will come to you."Abu Dawud said, meaning the captives.
