I sold a young camel to the Prophet ﷺ, then came to claim its price. I said, "Messenger of Allah, pay me the price of my young camel."He replied, "Yes, I will only pay you in fine silver coin." So he paid me, and paid me well. Then an Arabi came to him and said, "Messenger of Allah, pay me for my young camel." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him that day a fully grown camel. The man said, "Messenger of Allah, this is better than my young camel."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of people is the one who is best in repaying his debts."
Its isnad is sahih. Saeed bin Hani is the Khawlani, the Egyptian, whom Ajli and others graded trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared with the wording, "The best of you are those who repay debts in the best manner," and with the wording, "Give it to him, for the best of you are those who repay debts in the best manner."
