Umar bin Khattab reported,

The properties of Banu Nadir were among what Allah granted to His Messenger ﷺ as spoils without the Muslims having to spur on horses or camels for them. They belonged exclusively to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He would spend from them on his family their maintenance for a year. Mura said in one narration, their provision for a year. Whatever remained, he allocated for horses and weapons as preparation in the path of Allah .

حدثنا سفيان عن عمرو ومعمر عن الزهري عن مالك بن أوس بن الحدثان

عن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه قال

كانت أموال بني النضير مما أفاء الله على رسوله ﷺ مما لم يوجف المسلمون عليه بخيل ولا ركاب فكانت لرسول الله ﷺ خالصة وكان ينفق على أهله منها نفقة سنة وقال مرة قوت سنة وما بقي جعله في الكراع والسلاح عدة في سبيل الله عز وجل
