I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There will be tribulations after me. The one asleep during them will be better than the one awake, the one sitting will be better than the one standing, and the one standing will be better than the one rushing about. Whoever is overtaken by them, let him walk with his sword to a hard rock and strike it until it breaks, then let him lie low until what is to pass has passed."

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول ستكون من بعدي فتنة النائم فيها خير من اليقظان والقاعد فيها خير من القائم والقائم فيها خير من الساعي فمن أتت عليه فليمش بسيفه إلى صفاة فليضربه حتى ينكسر ثم ليضطجع لها حتى تنجلي عما انجليت
Its isnad is hasan, because of Abu Kathir Muharibi, whom Husayni deemed unknown, though this was not conceded in Tajeel. He noted that Bukhari passed over him in silence, and indeed he is mentioned by him in Kuna under number 585 without any criticism of him. Haythami said in 7/300, "I do not know him." In any case, the hadith is found in the Sahihayn with similar wording, narrated by Bukhari in 13/30, number 7082, in the chapter on Trials, concerning the one who sits during the strife, and by Muslim in 4/2211, number 2886, in similar terms. Both narrated it from Abu Hurairah, and it has already appeared at 7783.
