A man from among the Muslims granted protection to another man, while the commander of the army was Abu Ubayda bin Jarra.Khalid bin Walid and Amr bin As said, "We will not honor his protection."Abu Ubayda said, "We will honor his protection. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The protection granted by any one of the Muslims is binding upon them all.'"
