Muawiya addressed the people in Homs and mentioned in his sermon that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden seven things, "And I am conveying that to you and forbidding you from them. Among them are wailing over the dead, poetry, images, women displaying their adornments, the skins of predatory animals, gold, and silk."
حدثنا خلف بن الوليد قال حدثنا ابن عياش يعني إسماعيل عن عبد الله بن دينار وغيره
خطب الناس معاوية بحمص فذكر في خطبته أن رسول الله ﷺ حرم سبعة أشياء وإني أبلغكم ذلك وأنهاكم عنه منهن النوح والشعر والتصاوير والتبرج وجلود السباع والذهب والحرير
Its isnad is hasan, because of Abdullah bin Dinar, whom Ibn Hibban and Abu Ali the Hafiz deemed trustworthy, while Abu Hatim cast doubt on him and Ibn Main declared him daif. Tabarani narrated the hadith, and Haythami said in 8/120, "One of its two isnads has trustworthy narrators."
