We were with Muawiya when the muezzin called, "Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest."Muawiya said, "Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest."The muezzin called, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah."Muawiya said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah."The muezzin called, "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."Muawiya said, "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."The muezzin called, "Come to prayer."Muawiya said, "There is no power and no strength except through Allah."The muezzin called, "Come to success."Muawiya said, "There is no power and no strength except through Allah."The muezzin called, "Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest."Muawiya said, "Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest."The muezzin called, "There is no god but Allah."Muawiya said, "There is no god but Allah."Then Muawiya said, "This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say," or, "what your Prophet used to say, when the muezzin made the call."

كنا عند معاوية فقال المؤذن الله أكبر الله أكبر فقال معاوية الله أكبر الله أكبر فقال أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله فقال معاوية أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله فقال أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله فقال أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله فقال حي على الصلاة فقال لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله فقال حي على الفلاح فقال لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله فقال الله أكبر الله أكبر فقال الله أكبر الله أكبر فقال لا إله إلا الله قال لا إله إلا الله فقال هكذا كان رسول الله ﷺ يقول أو نبيكم إذا أذن المؤذن
