Saeed reported,

One day Muawiya said, "You have introduced an evil fashion. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade az-zur." Abdul-Samad said, "az-zur."Then a man came carrying a stick with a piece of cloth on its top and said, "Look, this is az-zur."Abu Amir said that Qatada explained, "It is the rags with which women add bulk to their hair."

قال معاوية ذات يوم إنكم قد أحدثتم زي سوء نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الزور وقال عبد الصمد الزور قال وجاء رجل بعصا على رأسها خرقة فقال ألا وهذا الزور قال أبو عامر قال قتادة هو ما يكثر به النساء أشعارهن من الخرق
