Abu Amir said in his narration, Isa bin Talha told me, "We came in to see Muawiya when the caller announced the prayer.The caller said, 'Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest.'Muawiya said, 'Allah is the greatest, Allah is the greatest.'The caller said, 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah.'Muawiya said, 'And I bear witness'" — Abu Amir said — "'that there is no god but Allah.'The caller said, 'I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.'Muawiya said, 'And I bear witness'" — Abu Amir said — "'that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.'"Yahya said, A man told us that when the caller said, "Come to prayer," Muawiya said, "There is no power and no strength except with Allah." Muawiya said, "This is how I heard your Prophet ﷺ say it."

أبو عامر في حديثه قال حدثني عيسى بن طلحة قال دخلنا على معاوية فنادى المنادي بالصلاة فقال الله أكبر الله أكبر فقال معاوية الله أكبر الله أكبر فقال أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله قال معاوية وأنا أشهد قال أبو عامر أن لا إله إلا الله قال أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله قال معاوية وأنا أشهد قال أبو عامر أن محمدا رسول الله قال يحيى فحدثنا رجل أنه لما قال حي على الصلاة قال لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله قال معاوية هكذا سمعت نبيكم ﷺ يقول
