While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the road to Mecca, he said, "The people of Yemen are about to come into your view, looking like clouds. They are the best of those on earth."A man from the Ansar asked, "Not us, Messenger of Allah?"The Prophet remained silent.The man asked again, "Not us, Messenger of Allah?"He remained silent.The man asked a third time, "Not us, Messenger of Allah?"On the third occasion, the Prophet said in a faint voice, "Except you."
قال حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن
بينا نحن مع رسول الله ﷺ بطريق مكة إذ قال يطلع عليكم أهل اليمن كأنهم السحاب هم خيار من في الأرض فقال رجل من الأنصار ولا نحن يا رسول الله فسكت قال ولا نحن يا رسول الله فسكت قال ولا نحن يا رسول الله فقال في الثالثة كلمة ضعيفة إلا أنتم
