I lost a camel of mine at Arafah, so I went searching for it, and there I found the Prophet ﷺ standing. I said, "This man is from the Hums. What is he doing here?"Sufyan once narrated it from Amr, from Muhammad bin Jubayr bin Mutim, from his father, who said, "I went searching for a camel of mine at Arafah and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing there. I said, 'This man is from the Hums. What is he doing here?'"
قال حدثنا سفيان عن عمرو
أضللت بعيرا لي بعرفة فذهبت أطلبه فإذا النبي ﷺ واقف قلت إن هذا من الحمس ما شأنه هاهنا وقال سفيان مرة عن عمرو عن محمد بن جبير بن مطعم عن أبيه قال ذهبت أطلب بعيرا لي بعرفة فوجدت رسول الله ﷺ واقفا قلت هذا من الحمس ما شأنه هاهنا
Its isnad is sahih. Amr is Ibn Dinar, and the hadith was narrated by Bukhari 3/515, no. 1664, in the Hajj, section on standing at Arafah, and Muslim 2/894, no. 1220, similarly, and Nasai 5/255, no. 3013, similarly to both of them, and Darimi 2/79, no. 1787, similarly to all of them.16682m Sufyan said on one occasion, from Amr, from Muhammad bin Jubayr bin Mutim, from his father, who said, I went out looking for a camel of mine at Arafah, and I found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing there.
