Tracing it back to the Prophet ﷺ, and Sufyan once said, from the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Follow up the Hajj with the Umrah, for following one with the other removes poverty and sins just as the bellows removes the impurity of iron."
حدثنا سفيان عن عاصم بن عبيد الله عن عبد الله بن عامر بن ربيعة يحدث
يبلغ به النبي وقال سفيان مرة عن النبي ﷺ قال تابعوا بين الحج والعمرة فإن متابعة بينهما ينفيان الفقر والذنوب كما ينفي الكير خبث الحديد
Its chain of transmission is daif. Asim bin Ubaydullah is daif.Its meaning has also been reported through the hadith of Ibn Masud. Suyuti attributed it in Jami Saghir, number 3227, to Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and Nasai, and Tirmidhi graded it sahih.It has also come through the hadith of Ibn Umar, number 3228, and he attributed it to Daraqutni and Tabarani, marking it with the symbol for daif.
