I presented a wild donkey as a gift to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the sacred state of pilgrimage, and he returned it to me. He noticed my disappointment showing in my face and said, "We returned it to you only because we are in the sacred state."
قال وأهديت لرسول الله ﷺ حمار وحش وهو محرم فرده علي فعرف ذلك في وجهي فقال إنا لم نرده عليك إلا أنا حرم
