Rashid bin Saad reported,

When Istakhr was conquered, a caller announced, "Dajjal has appeared!"Saab bin Jathama met them and said, "Were it not for what you are saying, I would have told you that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Dajjal will not appear until people have forgotten to mention him, and until the imams cease to mention him from the pulpits.'"

عن راشد بن سعد قال

لما فتحت إصطخر نادى مناد ألا إن الدجال قد خرج قال فلقيهم الصعب بن جثامة قال فقال لولا ما تقولون لأخبرتكم أني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا يخرج الدجال حتى يذهل الناس عن ذكره وحتى تترك الأئمة ذكره على المنابر
