He presented some game meat to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but he did not accept it. Saab noticed this on his face, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Nothing prevented us from accepting it from you except that we are in the state of ihram."He was asked about the cavalry horses that trampled the children of the polytheists at night, and he said, "They are counted among their fathers."He also said, "There is no protected sanctuary except for Allah and His Messenger."

أنه أهدى لرسول الله ﷺ لحم صيد فلم يقبله فرأى ذلك في وجه الصعب فقال إنه لم يمنعنا أن نقبل منك إلا أنا كنا حرما قال وسئل عن الخيل يوطئونها أولاد المشركين بالليل فقال هم يعني من آبائهم وقال لا حمى إلا لله ولرسوله
