Someone other than Yunus bin Razin reported that he and his companions stopped at Rabadhah on their way to perform the Hajj. They were told, "Salama bin Akwa, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, is here."So we went to him, greeted him, and questioned him. He said, "I gave my pledge of allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with this very hand of mine," and he stretched out his palm to us, a large palm. We rose toward him and kissed both of his palms.

وقال غير يونس بن رزين أنه نزل الربذة هو وأصحابه يريدون الحج قيل لهم هاهنا سلمة بن الأكوع صاحب رسول الله ﷺ فأتيناه فسلمنا عليه ثم سألناه فقال بايعت رسول الله ﷺ بيدي هذه وأخرج لنا كفه كفا ضخمة قال فقمنا إليه فقبلنا كفيه جميعا

Its isnad is sahih. Its beginning was previously mentioned at 16501. As for the kissing of Salama's hand by the successors, it was only out of hope for blessing from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and this indicates the intensity of the companions' seeking of blessing through the traces of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Likewise, the hadith indicates the permissibility of kissing the hand of the righteous person from whom blessing is hoped, as the majority of the early generations held, though the callers to Salafism today disagree with this.
