Its isnad is sahih. It was already mentioned that Bukhari narrated it, 5/121, no. 2477 Fath, and Muslim, 1540, no. 1802.16465m - He said, Makki bin Ibrahim narrated to me, he said, Yazid bin Abu Ubayd narrated to us, from Salama bin Akwa, that he informed him, saying, I went out from Madinah heading toward the Ghabah, and when I reached the pass of the Ghabah, a young servant of Abdul-Rahman bin Awf met me. I said, "Woe to you, what is wrong?" He said, "The milk camels of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ have been seized." I said, "Who took them?" He said, "Ghatfan and Fazarah." So I cried out three times so loudly that it was heard between the two sides of the city, "Ambush! Ambush!" Then I rushed forward until I caught up with them, and they had already taken the camels. So I began shooting arrows at them, saying, "I am the son of Akwa, and today is the day of the weak ones' destruction." He said, I rescued the camels from them before they could drink from them, and I came back driving them along. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me, and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, these people are thirsty, and I hurried them away before they could drink. So send someone after them." He said, "O son of Akwa, when you have gained control, show mercy. These people will be given hospitality among their own tribe."(16465m) Its isnad is sahih. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari, 6/164, no. 3041, in the chapter on jihad, on one who sees the enemy and calls out at the top of his voice, and by Muslim, 3/1432, no. 1806, in the chapter on jihad, the expedition of Dhu Qarad.
