Ati reported that he heard his uncle, who was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out and prayed for rain. He then faced the qiblah, turning his back to the people while supplicating, turned his cloak inside out, and prayed two units of prayer."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, "The cloak is turned over so that the situation may change, so that high prices may become low."
حدثنا سكن بن نافع قال حدثنا صالح بن أبي الأخضر عن الزهري
أنه سمع عمه وكان من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ يقول خرج رسول الله ﷺ فاستسقى ثم توجه قبل القبلة وحول إلى الناس ظهره يدعو وحول رداءه وصلى ركعتين قال أبو عبد الرحمن قلب الرداء حتى تحول السنة يصير الغلاء رخصا
