He was a companion of the Prophet, and it was said to him, "Perform ablution for us the way the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did."He called for a vessel and poured water from it onto his hands, washing them three times. Then he dipped his hand into the vessel, drew it out, and rinsed his mouth and nose from a single handful, doing this three times. Then he drew water out and washed his face. Then he dipped his hand in, drew it out, and washed his arms up to the elbows, twice each. Then he dipped his hand in, drew it out, and wiped his head, moving his hand forward and then back. Then he washed his feet up to the ankles.Then he said, "This is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution."
حدثنا هشام بن سعيد قال أخبرنا خالد قال أخبرنا عمرو بن يحيى بن عمارة الأنصاري قال أبي وخلف بن الوليد قال حدثنا خالد عن عمرو بن يحيى عن أبيه
وكانت له صحبة فقيل له توضأ لنا وضوء رسول الله ﷺ قال فدعا بإناء فأكفأ منه على يديه ثلاثا فغسلهما ثم أدخل يده واستخرجها فمضمض واستنشق من كف واحدة ففعل ذلك ثلاثا واستخرجها ثم غسل وجهه ثم أدخل يده واستخرجها فغسل يديه إلى المرفقين مرتين مرتين ثم أدخل يده فاستخرجها فمسح برأسه فأقبل بيده وأدبر ثم غسل رجليه إلى الكعبين ثم قال هكذا كان وضوء رسول الله ﷺ
Its isnad is sahih, through both of its routes, and Khalaf bin Walid in the second route is well known and has already appeared, and Ibn Main, Abu Zura, and Abu Hatim all deemed him trustworthy. The hadith has already appeared at 16383.
