He was a companion of the Prophet. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should treat his neighbor well. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.'"
حدثنا روح بن عبادة قال أخبرنا زكريا بن إسحاق قال حدثنا عمرو بن دينار عن نافع بن جبير بن مطعم
وكانت له صحبة قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليكرم ضيفه ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليحسن إلى جاره ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فليقل خيرا أو ليصمت
Its isnad is sahih. Its narrators are well known, and it has already appeared at 7633, and it is in the sahih collections. See Bukhari 6/384, printed by Shab, in the chapter on manners, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor."
