Ubayy bin Kaab, Abu Talha, and I were sitting together. We ate some meat and bread, then I called for water to perform ablution.They asked, "Why are you performing ablution?"I replied, "Because of this food we just ate."They said, "Are you going to perform ablution because of good food? One who is better than you never performed ablution for that."

كنت أنا وأبي بن كعب وأبو طلحة جلوسا فأكلنا لحما وخبزا ثم دعوت بوضوء فقالا لم تتوضأ فقلت لهذا الطعام الذي أكلنا فقالا أتتوضأ من الطيبات لم يتوضأ من هو خير منك
Its isnad is hasan, because there is some discussion regarding Itaab bin Ziyad Khurasani. The hadith was narrated by Ibn Majah, 1/164, no. 489, and he said in Zawaid, the men of its isnad are trustworthy.
