He traced it back to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog."
حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن الزهري عن عبيد الله عن ابن عباس
يبلغ به النبي ﷺ قال لا تدخل الملائكة بيتا فيه صورة ولا كلب
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are imams, and the hadith has appeared previously at 16299.
