Talq bin Ali reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has made these crescents as time markers for people. Fast when you sight it and break your fast when you sight it. If it is obscured from your view, then complete the count."

قال حدثنا إسحاق بن عيسى أخبرنا محمد بن جابر

عن قيس بن طلق عن أبيه قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ إن الله عز وجل جعل هذه الأهلة مواقيت للناس صوموا لرؤيته وأفطروا لرؤيته فإن غم عليكم فأتموا العدة
