Muawiya Abu Iyas reported,

I heard my father, who had met the Prophet ﷺ and the Prophet had wiped his head and prayed for forgiveness for him.

حدثنا حسين بن محمد قال حدثنا شعبة

عن معاوية أبي إياس قال

سمعت أبي وقد كان أدرك النبي ﷺ فمسح رأسه واستغفر له
