The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said regarding the newborn boy, "Offer his aqiqah for him, shed blood on his behalf, and remove the harm from him."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد يعني ابن سلمة قال أخبرنا أيوب وحبيب ويونس وقتادة عن محمد بن سيرين
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال في الغلام عقيقته فأهريقوا عنه دما وأميطوا عنه الأذى
Its chain of transmission is sahih through all its routes, and it has already been mentioned at 16187.
