Salman bin Amir reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "With the newborn boy is his aqiqah, so shed blood on his behalf and remove the harm from him."

حدثنا هشيم قال أخبرنا يونس عن ابن سيرين

عن سلمان بن عامر الضبي قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ مع الغلام عقيقته فأريقوا عنه دما وأميطوا عنه الأذى
