My grandfather used to say to me while he was in prayer, gesturing to me, "Hand me the sandals." I would hand them to him, and he would put them on and pray in them. He would say, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in his sandals."
قال حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا شعبة قال حدثنا النعمان بن سالم قال سمعت فلانا
كان جدي يقول لي وهو في الصلاة يومئ إلي ناولني النعلين فأناولهما إياه فيلبسهما ويصلي فيهما ويقول رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصلي في نعليه
