He used to be brought his sandals while he was praying, and he would put them on and say, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray in his sandals."
قال حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن شعبة عن النعمان بن سالم
أنه كان يؤتى بنعليه وهو يصلي فيلبسهما ويقول إني رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصلي في نعليه
