Raita, the wife of Abdullah, was a skilled craftswoman who used to sell what she made and give in charity. One day she said to Abdullah, "You and your children have kept me so occupied that I cannot give charity along with you."He replied, "I would not want you to do it if there were no reward in it."So they asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "You have a reward for whatever you spend on them."
قال قال حدثنا حسين بن محمد حدثنا ابن أبي الزناد وسليمان بن داود قالا حدثنا عبد الرحمن عن أبيه عن عروة
عن رائطة امرأة عبد الله وكانت امرأة صناعا وكانت تبيع وتصدق فقالت لعبد الله يوما لقد شغلتني أنت وولدك فما أستطيع أن أتصدق معكم فقال ما أحب إن لم يكن في ذلك أجر أن تفعلي فسألا عن ذلك رسول الله ﷺ فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ لك أجر ما أنفقت عليهم
