He witnessed the Farewell Pilgrimage with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No offender commits a crime except against himself. A father is not held accountable for the crime of his child, nor a child for the crime of his father."
قال حدثنا أبو سعيد مولى بني هاشم قال حدثنا زائدة قال حدثنا شبيب بن غرقدة
أنه شهد حجة الوداع مع رسول الله ﷺ فقال رسول الله ﷺ لا يجني جان إلا على نفسه لا يجني والد على ولده ولا مولود على والده
Its isnad is sahih. Shabib bin Gharqada is trustworthy according to them, and his hadith is found in the collections of the group (of major hadith compilers). Sulayman bin Amr bin Ahwas is deemed trustworthy, though he is not a prolific narrator. The hadith was narrated by Ibn Majah, 2/890, no. 2669, in the chapter on blood money, "No one is held liable for the offense of another," and by Tabarani in Al-Kabir, 17/32, no. 59.
