Abu Usayd reported,

On the day of Badr, I obtained the sword of Ibn Abid al-Marzuban. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the people to hand over whatever spoils they had taken, I came forward with it and placed it among the spoils. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would never refuse anything he was asked for. Arqam bin Abu Arqam Makhzumi recognized the sword, so he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for it, and he gave it to him.It was recited to Yaqub from his father's Maghazi, or heard from him directly. Ibn Ishaq said, Abdullah bin Abu Bakr told me, saying, Some of the Banu Saidah told me, on the authority of Abu Usayd Malik bin Rabia, who said, "I obtained the sword of the Banu Abid of Makhzum, the Marzuban, on the day of Badr. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the people to hand over whatever spoils they had taken, I came forward with it and placed it among the spoils. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would never refuse anything he was asked for. Arqam bin Abu Arqam recognized it, so he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for it, and he gave it to him."

قال حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق قال حدثني عبد الله بن أبي بكر أن

أبا أسيد كان يقول

أصبت يوم بدر سيف ابن عابد المرزبان فلما أمر رسول الله ﷺ أن يردوا ما في أيديهم أقبلت به حتى ألقيته في النفل قال وكان رسول الله ﷺ لا يمنع شيئا يسأله قال فعرفه الأرقم بن أبي الأرقم المخزومي فسأله رسول الله ﷺ فأعطاه إياه قال قرئ على يعقوب في مغازي أبيه أو سماع قال ابن إسحاق قال حدثني عبد الله بن أبي بكر قال حدثني بعض بني ساعدة عن أبي أسيد مالك بن ربيعة قال أصبت سيف بني عابد المخزوميين المرزبان يوم بدر فلما أمر رسول الله ﷺ الناس أن يؤدوا ما في أيديهم من النفل أقبلت به حتى ألقيته في النفل وكان رسول الله ﷺ لا يمنع شيئا يسأله فعرفه الأرقم بن أبي الأرقم فسأله رسول الله ﷺ فأعطاه إياه
