I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ calling people to Islam at Dhu al-Majaz, and behind him was a cross-eyed man saying, "Do not let this man turn you away from your religion and the religion of your fathers."I said to my father, while I was still a boy, "Who is this cross-eyed man walking behind him?"He replied, "This is his uncle, Abu Lahab."Abbad said, "I think between Muhammad bin Amr and Rabia there is Muhammad bin Munkadir."
حدثنا عبد الله حدثني سريج بن يونس قال حدثنا عباد بن عباد عن محمد بن عمرو
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ وهو يدعو الناس إلى الإسلام بذي المجاز وخلفه رجل أحول يقول لا يغلبنكم هذا عن دينكم ودين آبائكم قلت لأبي وأنا غلام من هذا الأحول الذي يمشي خلفه قال هذا عمه أبو لهب قال عباد أظن بين محمد بن عمرو وبين ربيعة محمد بن المنكدر
