Wathila bin Asqa reported,

A group of men from the tribe of Bani Sulaym came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, a companion of ours has made Hell incumbent upon himself."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let him free a Muslim slave. For every limb of the freed slave, Allah will redeem a corresponding limb of his from the Fire."

عن واثلة بن الأسقع قال

جاء نفر من بني سليم إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا يا رسول الله إن صاحبا لنا قد أوجب فقال رسول الله ﷺ ليعتق رقبة مسلمة يفك الله عز وجل بكل عضو منها عضوا منه من النار
