Bishr bin Hayan reported,

Wathila bin Asqa came while we were building our mosque. He stopped beside us, gave the greeting of peace, and then said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever builds a mosque in which Allah is worshipped, Allah will build for him in Paradise something better than it.'"Abu Abdul-Rahman said, "I also heard this from Haytham bin Kharija."

قال حدثنا هيثم بن خارجة قال أخبرنا أبو عبد الملك الحسن بن يحيى الخشني

عن بشر بن حيان قال

جاء واثلة بن الأسقع ونحن نبني مسجدنا قال فوقف علينا فسلم ثم قال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من بنى مسجدا يصلى فيه بنى الله عز وجل له في الجنة أفضل منه قال أبو عبد الرحمن وقد سمعته من هيثم بن خارجة
