Distrust your own opinions. I saw us on the day of Abu Jandal, and had we been able to overturn the Messenger of Allah's decision, we would have overturned it. By Allah, we have never laid our swords down from our shoulders since we embraced Islam, when faced with a matter that troubled us, except that it led us smoothly to an outcome we could recognize, save for this matter. We never closed off one dispute except that another opened up before us.
