Hind was among the Companions of Hudaybiyah, and his brother, whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to instruct his people to fast on Ashura, was Asma bin Haritha.Yahya bin Hind reported to me from Asma bin Haritha that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him and said, "Order your people to fast this day."He asked, "What if I find that they have already eaten?"He replied, "Then let them complete the remainder of their day."
قال حدثنا عفان قال حدثنا وهيب حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن حرملة
وكان هند من أصحاب الحديبية وأخوه الذي بعثه رسول الله ﷺ يأمر قومه بصيام عاشوراء وهو أسماء بن حارثة فحدثني يحيى بن هند عن أسماء بن حارثة أن رسول الله ﷺ بعثه فقال مر قومك بصيام هذا اليوم قال أرأيت إن وجدتهم قد طعموا قال فليتموا آخر يومهم
