His grandfather, along with several other trustworthy men from Aslam, reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Jarhad in the mosque while Jarhad's thigh was uncovered. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Jarhad, cover your thigh, for the thigh, Jarhad, is part of the private area."

جده ونفر من أسلم سواه ذوي رضا أن رسول الله ﷺ مر على جرهد وفخذ جرهد مكشوفة في المسجد فقال له رسول الله ﷺ يا جرهد غط فخذك فإن يا جرهد الفخذ عورة
