The Prophet ﷺ said that Allah Almighty said, "Son of Adam, rise toward Me and I will walk toward you. Walk toward Me and I will hasten toward you."
حدثنا إسحاق بن عيسى بن الطباع قال حدثنا جرير يعني ابن حازم عن واصل الأحدب عن أبي وائل عن شريح قال
قال النبي ﷺ قال الله تعالى يا ابن آدم قم إلي أمش إليك وامش إلي أهرول إليك
Its isnad is sahih. Wasil bin Ahdab is Ibn Hayan, trustworthy, firmly reliable, well known. Abu Waail is Shaqiq bin Salama Asadi, trustworthy, one of the senior Tabiin, a mukhadram, well known, and his hadith is found in the collections of the group. Shurayh is Ibn Harith bin Qays Nakhai, Abu Umaya, the judge of Kufah, trustworthy, also one of the senior Tabiin, a mukhadram.Haythami said in 10/196, "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except for Shurayh bin Harith, and he is trustworthy." He treated it in Matalib Aliyah 3/153, number 3127, as mawquf, see 13948.The hadith has already appeared within the longer hadith, from "whoever draws near" to "an arm's length."
